چکیده
Objective — to study the clinical effectiveness of chemotherapy using bedaquiline (Bdq) and delamanid (Dlm) in children adolescents with multidrug-resistant (MDR) extensive drug resistant (XDR) pulmonary tuberculosis lungs (TBL).
Materials methods. A retrospective cohort analysis medical records 40 patients (TB) MDR/XDR was conducted order Bdq Dlm. Among were 25 (62.5 %) aged 0 14 years 15 (37.5 teenagers 17; there 18 (47.5 boys, 22 (52.5 girls. The divided into two groups: first group second teenagers. Microbiological research included: detection Mycobacterium (MTB) sputum by smear microscopy, sowing material on Levenstein—Jensen medium, typing isolated mycobacteria BACTEC MGIT 960, determination susceptibility test strains MTB antituberculosis drugs (ATBDs) first- second-line, as well molecular genetic sputum, particular GeneXpert MTB/RIF/Ultra linear probe analysis. All received an individualized treatment regimen depending resistance ATBDs or at source infection.

Delamanid expanded access novel treatment of drug resistant tuberculosis
Tuberculosis (TB) remains a global emergency and is one of the most common infectious disease causes of death in developing countries. Current treatment regimens for multi-drug resistant TB are associated with low treatment success rates, are toxic, and require long duration of treatment. The need for shorter and more effective treatment regimens is urgent. Delamanid (Deltyba, or formerly known...

The current treatment for drug-resistant tuberculosis (TB) is long, complex, and associated with severe and life-threatening side effects and poor outcomes. For the first time in nearly 50 years, there have been two new drugs registered for use in multidrug-resistant TB (MDR-TB). Bedaquiline, a diarylquinoline, and delamanid, a nitromidoxazole, have received conditional stringent regulatory app...

We report the experiences of 5 patients taking bedaquiline with delamanid in combination: 1 patient was cured; 3 culture converted, with 2 continuing and 1 changing therapy; and 1 died from respiratory insufficiency. For 2 patients, QT-interval prolongation but no arrhythmias occurred. Use of this therapy is justified for patients with limited options.
